We Believe in Giving Back

Each Month, we will be making a donation to a family in our community. Please read from our first recipients, the Marquardt family.

We recently moved to San Tan Valley for a slower and more family oriented life style. We have three sweet boys, ages 7, 4 and 2. We enjoy being outside, playing games, watching and playing sports, tickle sessions and wrestling matches. Our middle son Jacob was the 13th child in the world diagnosed with a rare genetic mutation called NACC1. It affects every area of his life- fine and gross motor skills, speech, and tone. He has both feeding and breathing tubes to help him with his basic living needs. Jacob’s condition was unexpected and because it’s so rare, it took time for us and his medical team to understand him. Although our vision of parenthood wasn’t originally to become our child’s full-time nurse and administrative assistant, we wouldn’t change it for the world. Jacob’s innocent spirit and love for cuddles keeps us going during his hospital stays and hard days. He has taught us to expand our compassion, how to advocate for those without a voice and show more grace to others. He has helped our marriage by giving us more opportunities for teamwork and communication. Jacob’s condition has influenced his brothers to become more flexible, sacrificial and appreciate the differences they see in others. Moving is always stressful- re-establishing care for Jacob, new employment, finding trustworthy contractors. We are so fortunate yelp led us to David and his team. They have done great work for us and we have peace of mind having someone we trust working on our home.
